By car, bus or subway U1 (visit www.hvv.de for train and bus connections), get to Stephansplatz. From there, follow Gorch-Fock-Wall until you reach the first intersection. Turn right onto Jungiusstraße. Bucerius Law School is located on the right hand side.
Exit the Dammtorbahnhof through the exit “Dag-Hammarskjöld-Platz / CCH / Messe”. Keep to your right and, once in front of the Radisson BLU Hotel, go up the big staircase on the left side. Follow the covered walkway in Park Planten un Blomen up to the intersection of Marseiller Straße and Jungiusstraße. Here is the main entrance of Bucerius Law School.
From the airport, take the train-tramway line S1 and get off at central station (Hauptbahnhof). From there, get onto S11, S21 or S31 (on the other side of the same platform) to get to Dammtorbahnhof. Alternatively, you can take S1 to station Ohlsdorf, from where you would have to take U1 and get off at Stephansplatz. (Either route will take approximately 40 minutes, including the walking). A taxi from the airport to Bucerius Law School takes roughly 30 minutes and costs about €20.
Bucerius Law School has no public parking. However, the CCH (Congress Center Hamburg), in the immediate vicinity, has an public underground parking garage. The entrances to that parking garage are located on Marseiller Straße and at Dammtordamm. In addition, ample parking is available in the car park Messe-Ost.
Der Übersee-CLub e.V.
Neuer Jungfernstieg 19
Founded to promote “the position of Hamburg in the world,” the Club has always been, to this day, one of the key venues of our Hanseatic city where outstanding minds from business, politics, culture and science meet.
Since its founding in 1922 by Max M. Warburg in Hamburg, it has become synonymous with cosmopolitanism and internationalism. As a platform for encounters between business, politics and science, it is remains dedicated to the pressing issues of our time even today.
Since 1969, the Club is housed on the Neuer Jungfernstieg 19, along the Inner Alster Lake, in the listed Amsinck Palace. The Übersee-Club is today regarded as an influential forum for economic and political issues.
From highway A7
Drive through the Elbtunnel and take the exit for Stellingen. Following the signs to downtown and crossing Eimsbüttler Marktplatz, stay on Fruchtallee. Its name changes a number of times (e.g. “An der Verbindungsbahn”). Stay on this road until its name has changed to Alsterglacis, which is right after you’ve passed Dammtorbahnhof. Then turn right onto Neuer Jungfernstieg. The house of the
Übersee-Club is located in front of the Berenberg Bank.
Coming from the south
Take highway A1 across the various bridges of the Elbe river into Hamburg. Follow the signs towards the city center. Then, by way of Route 4 (Amsinckstraße), follow the signs for Hauptbahnhof. Staying on that road, cross the bridge Lombardsbrücke. At the first light, turn left onto Neue Jungfernstieg until you reach the Berenberg Bank.
The Übersee-Club is located in front of the bank.
