Bucerius Law School - Room 1

Are Managed Legal Service Providers winning the War for Talent? Two talent experts will report on the results of current research on why future lawyers no longer have the classic partnership in mind when they think about the law firm of the future, and what attracts future lawyers to the legal profession. Sebastian von Glahn (CEO & Founder, TalentRocket), Samuel Ju (CEO & Founder, Legalhead)

14:15 to 16:30: Workshop II: A professional regulatory view – are Managed Legal Services unlawful?

Bucerius Law School - Room 2

Managed Legal Services includes legal services, but most providers are not lawyers or licensed legal service providers. Our panel reviews the sphere of these new service providers and discusses the competition between lawyers and non-lawyer service providers in the context of the new judicial powers and the proposed bill by the FDP. The panel includes, amongst others, Dr. Veronika Haberler (Partner & CEO, LeReTo), Gabriele Nieradzik (Head of Department for the Administration of Justice, BMJV), Dr. Philipp Plog (Legal representative to many Legal Tech companies & Partner, Fieldfisher LLP), Dr. Frank Remmertz (Chairman of the Committee for legal service regulation, BRAK), Behnam Sadough (Managing Director of EU Operations, UnitedLex Germany), Astrid Siegmund (Head Judge for the Regional Court, Berlin)

Bucerius Law School - Room 3

Are other countries more progressive in Managed Legal Services? Where does Germany stand when compared with other international markets? This workshop takes place in cooperation with the European Legal Technology Association (ELTA), whose ambassadors will report on the challenges and opportunities in their national jurisdictions.

Workshop includes: Dr. Michael Grupp (Executive Faculty of Bucerius CLP & CEO, BRYTER), Dr. Guenther Dobrauz (Partner & Head, PWC Legal Schweiz), Dr. Markus Janko (Partner, Kliemt.Arbeitsrecht), Prof. Dr. Marco Rogert (Partner, Dr. Rogert Ulbrich & Partner), Andreas Seip (Senior Legal Counsel, ING), Felix Schulte-Strathaus (Senior Legal Engineer, Simmons Wavelength Limited), Dr. Konrad Wartenberg (General Counsel, Axel Springer)
