Under the Internet address Bucerius Education GmbH operates an Internet portal providing information on its vocational training offers, including bookings. We attach particular importance here to protection of the personal data of the users of our Internet portal. With this data-protection statement we wish to inform these users as to whether and how person-specific data is processed.

1. Person-Specific Data
Person-specific data contains individual details as to the personal or objective relationships of a specific or identifiable natural person. Such details include information such as your name, your address, your telephone number and your date of birth. Information that cannot be directly associated with your true identity – e.g. preferred websites or the number of users of a page – does not constitute person-specific data.

2. Person-Specific Data Collected During Registration and Ordering
During registration and booking of courses, person-specific data - such as form of address, forename, surname, address, postcode, place, e-mail address, connection data (e.g. IP address) and telephone number - is collected in order to process the orders and to organize any further training. In as much as further data additional to the essential data can be provided, such disclosures are made voluntarily. Compulsory fields are identified as such.

3. Collection of Anonymized Data
We do not employ a tracking tool on our Internet sites. A tracking tool is software used to collect and process person-specific data for purposes of analyzing the utilization made of this website.

4. Use Made of the Person-Specific Data
We assure you that all person-specific data is handled confidentially by Bucerius Education GmbH and that, in the processing and utilization of data, we abide by the statutory regulations, particularly those of the German Data Protection Law »Bundesdatenschutzgesetz« and of the Tele-Media Act »Telemediengesetz«.
The data necessary for the business transactions is stored and processed by us. The processing helps us in particular to realize our course offers. In this connection, for example, we manage the applications and prepare lists of participants. In addition to this we make use of your personal data for communication with you and for purposes of preparation and implementation of the courses, as well as for invoicing.
Any further use of your data is only undertaken with your approval. This applies to the data processing for marketing purposes or for the transmission of your data to other course participants in the form of a list of participants.

5. Rights to Information and Alteration, as well as to Revocation of Approval
As a user of our Internet portal you have the right to demand, at any time, information on the personal data stored by us and relating to your person, and to have alterations made to this data.
You can also revoke your approval to the storage and processing of your person-specific data - with effect to the future - at any time. In this case we will then block or delete the personal data stored and relating to your person in keeping with the statutory specifications, and in particular we will no longer use or process these for marketing purposes and will immediately discontinue all further dispatches of advertising material. 6. Security Measures
Bucerius Education GmbH takes all necessary technical and organizational security measures to en-sure that your person-specific data is protected against loss and misuse. To this end your data is stored in a secure operating environment to which the public has no access. In certain cases your person-specific data is also coded during transmission by so-called secure socket layer (SSL) tech-nology. This means that the communication between your computer and the Bucerius Education GmbH servers takes place under the protection of recognized encoding procedures, provided your browser supports SSL.
Should you wish to contact Bucerius Education GmbH per e-mail, please note that the confidentiality of the information sent in this way cannot be guaranteed. The content of e-mails can be seen by third parties. We therefore recommend that you do not send us confidential information by e-mail.
It is also very important that you protect yourself against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. If you share your computer with others, you should ensure that you log out after each session.

7. Use of Cookies
On our website we make use of cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric iden-tification characters that we transfer to the hard disk of your computer via your web browser.
